    Sadie.....Help!!

I'm beyond frustrated and need some advice. I just finished a 28 day round. I did the 3 days of the diet without drops and then starting P3 on April 4th. This is my third round but the last two were more than a year ago. I lost 21 pounds this time and my LDW was 151.7. I seem to be steadily gaining every day and I can't figure out why. I did have my period up until Sunday April 5th and I thought that I was holding on to some water weight gain because of that but my period ended 2 days ago so I can't imagine I'm still retaining that water. So here's my daily weigh-in:

    LDW - 151.7
    Day 1 without drops - 151.9
    Day 2 without drops - 152.3
    Day 3 without drops - 152.5
    P3 Day 1 - 152.3
    P3 Day 2 - 152.9
    P3 Day 3 - 153.8
    P3 Day 4 - 154.4

I'm 2.7 pounds over my LDW.

I followed the instructions for P3 and ate lots of protein (salmon and chicken), small amount of veggies (mostly cauliflower, mushrooms, bell peppers), very little fat (spray for my eggs in the morning and a little olive oil to cook the chicken in) and one cup of whole milk. I only ate one fruit for the first 3 days (an apple). So yesterday I tried cutting out the milk and the fruit. My menu was as follows:

Breakfast: 1 whole egg + 2 egg whites scrambled in a little bit of Pam spray; coffee with 1 Tbsp. heavy cream and stevia

Snack: 2 hard boiled egg whites

Lunch: 8 oz. chicken breast sauteed in a small amount of olive oil with bell peppers and spices

    Dinner: Same as lunch

80 oz. of water sweetened with Stevia and a lemon

That's all I had yesterday and I still gained .6 this morning.

One thing I should mention is that I'm constipated - I haven't gone to the bathroom since Saturday and I can feel it - I feel bloated and "heavy".

I would appreciate any advice you can offer - I'm afraid I can't turn this around and I worked too hard to get here!!

    Hi Perez228 -

I would recommend doing a steak day since you are over your LDW by more than 2lbs. By looking at your menu, I'm going to say that you are reintroducing new foods too quickly. Your body is going to have a hard time digesting and metabolizing eggs, larger servings of chicken, cauliflower, mushrooms, and bell peppers.

I would do the steak day today, then tomorrow start to slowly reintroduce new foods. Use the foods allowed on the low calorie diet as a guide, and add from there. Eggs are good protein option, but for lunch try keeping the protein serving around 3-4oz and the same with dinner. I always recommend keeping a food journal during maintenance because our weight can be so sensitive after the VLCD. By writing down what you ate, then re-evaluating that against if you gained or not will help you narrow down what foods you may be a little more sensitive to and what foods are causing a gain.

If you are still constipated tomorrow after the steak day, I'd recommend trying Smooth Move Tea. You can find it in most grocery stores in the tea aisle. Have a cup of Smooth Move Tea before bed and you should feel the urge to go in the AM. Continue that routine until you are no longer constipated.

Let me know how this goes, and if you do need anymore help.
