    Very little appetite

I'm on R3P3D3 and I still have hardly any appetite. I have to really push to eat protein 3x a day, and just forget about any snacks. I'm cooking up the eggs or chicken or steak with onions and mushrooms, which I normally love, and it's about as appetizing as eating a pillowcase.

I can generate a little mental excitement about an apple, maybe, but not enough to eat one. I stopped eating fruit in P2 about 3 weeks ago and am not quite sure what effect it will have on me now.

I get a little sensation of hunger a couple of times a day but it goes away in a minute or two. Then it's mealtime and I go through the motions. The only thing I am actually enjoying is my one daily cup of coffee, with a little liquid stevia and a couple of spoons of half and half.

I lost a pound during weaning and am up .8 this morning, so I'm still below my LDW thank God, but, just for kicks, I've been counting my calories the last few days and I haven't hit 600 yet. The calorie-tracking app I'm using on my phone is freaking out and sending me warning messages that I'm not eating enough - I guess it thinks I'm anorexic! That's kind of amusing.

    Is this normal?

Hi Lisa - Are you now on day 3 of maintenance, or day 3 of weaning yourself off the drops? It may take a few days for your body to get back into the mode of eating a normal amount of food again. I would stick with eating the proteins and possibly vegetables. As you get more and more hungry, start to add in the fruits slowly along with other items as long as you are avoiding sugars & starches as well. ~ Sadie

Well, I'm now on day 8 of P3, after the three days of weaning. I'm finally starting to feel an appetite again.

Very stable. I've stayed .8 pound below my LDW. I'm up a few ounces today but still .4 below LDW.

I'm still counting calories, just to see what's up with that, and although I've been consuming between maybe 800 - 1100 calories a day, my weight hasn't budged. The app says that I should be consuming 1500 calories daily to stay at the same weight, and it absolutely freaks out on me and sends me red warning messages if I don't hit 1000. Just goes to show you that counting calories, for me anyway, is pretty useless. I'm going to keep doing it for a while, not really for the calorie-tracking, but because it's a pretty good food diary method.

I definitely think a food diary is a great idea, even if it's not for counting calories. It is a great way to hold yourself accountable, especially when it comes to maintaining your weight long term, after you are done with the maintenance portion.
