    Protien powder

I have found 2 different protein powders at my local health food stores. One is a whey powder and one is a soy protein powder. Both are purchased in bulk with no added flavors and no sugar. The whey protein powder only has 5 grams of protein but the soy one has 23 grams. I would be more apt to get the soy one because of protein amount. Can you please advise Linda.

Hi George - Hopefully Kelly will get back to you on this. How are you doing so far on maintenance?

Jetty I'm not sure the type of lifestyle u lead, but I would like to assume that most of us that have done hcg want to generally avoid foods that contain the chemicals that have caused us to gain the weight in the first place. Right??! With that say your should always stay away from soy when ever you have the option to. Soy is one of the worse things u could put into your beautiful body becuz of the mass contamination of all soy crops!! Then also on the flip side, whey is not very good for u just in general, it does not stand any solid nutritional value. And it hunks up ur system..., much like how it also taste like gunk! Lol. I personally alway go for the organic rice protein powders! They stand amazing nutritional value! They are the lowest fat content, and their crops can be guaranteed to be completely uncontaminated by chemicals (if it's organic). Also they texture and taste is unbeatable. Smooth and slightly creamy ish! If u dont like the rice types, I would opt for just about anything else before the whey and soy ones.

I hope this helps everyone out
Btw my information is coming from being a former professional fitness consultant. We all consumed protein powders like candy every single day. And also designed specific supplement regimes for our VIP clients. So I'm not just blowing steam.

Thank you for the input Jaqui! We recommend whey protein while on the first half of maintenance, but rice protein powders can be introduced during the 2nd half of maintenance.
