I am curious to know if we can use the egg whites in the box? I know it says not to egg beaters but I just hate to throw away yolks, especially since there are 2 of us on this diet together. I would be getting them from Sams Club. This is the specs on them Specifications

I have a few questions and I apologize for asking so many, but I just don't want to mess up. Tomorrow I officially begin Phase 3, and I am wondering about a few things. I know for the 1st few days I am to up the protein and can begin mixing fruits and veggies, but is it only the fruits and veggies that were allowed during P2 or any of the P3 approved fruits and veggies? Also I am so glad to drink whole milk (1 cup a day), but if I do that then am I not allowed to using the cooking spray/oil that day? I could really use some avocado with my food, when can I start eating them? This phase allows for steak, but does that only include the round roast or london broil for the first few days or any kind of steak for the entire phase? I think that's all I have for now, but I know I may think of more later. Thank you for all of your help!

Yes, lots of protein - primarily protein. I would stick with the P2 fruits but you can begin mixing the vegetables. The reason for this is you are going to be very sensitive to sugars and you want to be sure to stick with the low sugar fruits and even though other fruits like berries & peaches are allowed on P3 they don't bode well early on in Phase 3.

I've been doing so well, but then got on the scale this morning and was up .5 lbs above LDW. I don't want to gain anymore and was wondering what a lean day consists of. Can you please explain?

First off, it is normal and to be expected to remain within 2 pounds of your LDW 1/2 pound gain is not something to panic over.
A lean day is a way to avoid having to do a steak day. When you are uncomfortably close to being over your LDW you can do a day consisting of lean protein, raw or steamed vegetables. 1 tablespoon fat, 1/2 cup milk and 2 fruits. Drink lots of water throughout the day.

Phase 2 into Phase 3 transition

I thought I read somewhere that either at the end of phase two or the beginning of phase 3 your stay on the 500 calorie diet, but stop dropping. Is that correct?

Hi Snooter - Yes, once you are done with the low calorie diet w/ the drops (a minimum of 21 days), you'll continue on the 500 calorie without the drops for 72 hours. This allows the HCG to fully leave your system. After the 72 hours, you may start maintenance. We recommend introducing new foods slowly. Also during the first week of maintenance, focus on having protein every 2-4 hours. If you have any other questions, please let us know. ~ Sadie
