Hi there, a quick question... In lieu of london broil, as I cannot always get it, can I use the super duper lean ground beef? I have seen that london boil is 5% fat and the ground beef I can get from the butcher is 4%...

What do you think?

Nope, sorry, even ground beef is just too marbled in fat. Try using veal for the best option instead of beef. That is what Dr. Simeons recommends anyone in the USA use in lieu of beef.

What about Buffalo?

Nope. He only offered the veal or beef. Dr Simeons tried all forms of protein available. The ones listed are the best options for the hCG protocol.

So I called the butcher shop to see if he could ground london broil for me and he says he uses it for his 4%... Well?? Maybe I am okay?

Here is the thing about london broil on protocol. We allow it for an option because we know people need variety. However, as Dr. Simeons says the beef in the USA is too marbled with fat. A better option would be veal. I would carefully use any London Broil on protocol. Only having it once a week or so. I would seriously think about trying the veal before the beef.

Okay, so I tried my ground London Broil for the meatballs. I woke up this morning to a 1.4 loss. I cooked them up and then placed them into boiling water to rinse the extra fat out... They were yummy!

Test, test, test...

Maynecoon, I am so glad that it worked well for you! It is refreshing to see beef work well for clients.
