On the list of "non-starchy" vegetables are rutabagas and turnips - are those really allowed in Phase 3? I always considered them starchy "root" vegetables. I want to make sure before I go ahead and eat them too soon.

I'm curious about that too Perez, I also consider those to be "starchy" and have avoided them.

Thanks Linda! I've been experimenting with turning different veggies into "chips" - these are two that I want to try. Tonight it's okra.

So I'm reporting in on the okra "chips". Not bad....I cut them in half, put them on a nonstick baking sheet and baked them at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Flipped them over and baked another 10 minutes. They did come out crunchy and baking them this way eliminated the "de-sliming" that you would normally have to do with okra before cooking it. Tonight it's turnips....I'll report tomorrow.
