Hi, can anyone tell me if we can use coconut flour in phase 3? I read on line that it's a starch-free alternative for flour. In fact, can we use coconut in phase 3? If not, when can we use it? Thank you.

Coconut flour and almond flour are allowed in P3, best to wait until the second week. There are some really great recipes for brownie mug cakes and breads made with the allowable flours. I use almond flour alot, the coconut flour is a little harder to manage.

Thank you for answering. Since this is my 2nd round and I am doing a 4-week P3 and 4-week P4. Do I need to wait until week 3 to start using coconut or almond flour?

Second week should be fine. Just remember that though they are allowed and healthier, nuts and coconut are still high fat and high calorie, and I can tell you from experience, once you make those things, you may want to eat too much. Keep your serving sizes small, which is the beauty of the mug breads...hubby and I usually share one when we are wanting something sweet.
