I really love reading about other the success other people have with hCG. It inspires me and keeps me motivated, on the tougher days I occasionally have on this journey. It's easy to remember the challenges, but it helps me more to remember the 'wins' - especially when I'm having one of those challenges!

Sometimes it's a big thing (like going down a size in clothes), and sometimes it's a little thing that means a lot, if you know what I mean.

I don't like talking about it a lot with my friends. If they're thin, they absolutely do not understand. If they're overweight, they don't want to hear it (unless they ask me about it, because they're ready to do something about it - that's different!)

So I want to use this thread to list a daily win, and I'd love you to help me - let us use our success to inspire each other!

Here's mine for today: I was in the bank, and I ran into someone who I hadn't seen in a couple of years, and she didn't recognize me "because I was so much thinner".

Looking forward to reading yours -

-Lisa-

Lisa, that must of made your day!

I was able to get into a smaller size pair of jeans last night..comfortably! A friend also commented on how great my skin looks!

This morning, I reached around to slip my cell phone into my back pocket - and my rear pocket wasn't exactly where I expected it to be, it was closer!

My bras are no longer fitting correctly. I tried to check my size myself last night with a tape measure but I want someone who knows what they're doing to do it right. According to the measurements I took last night, I could be one of a couple of different sizes (I think the standard rule is that you need to check if you lose 10 lbs).

But even if I'm not sure, there are a lot more pretty choices in the potential new sizes than in the old size. Something fun to think about!

I put my engagement ring back on today. I haven't worn this in quite awhile. I'm going to add 2 more as I was so happy when they happened. I am down to a smaller pair of jeans (what I usually wear), and 2 people made comments on how much smaller I am, oh, and I am also in the 150's, 159.6. Okay, that's 4 things. :)

Loving this thread! Love smaller jeans thialc!

I have another to share. Went shopping today.. I grabbed a tunic top to try on.. Thought I grabbed a large (my hips are a little bigger than my top half) I put it on and it was snug. I got it over my hips, but not wearable. Immediately disappointed as I really thought it would fit. So I took it off and as I was hanging it up I noticed it was actually a SMALL! I got a small over my hips! Needless to say, I bought a MEDIUM today!

Ladies, this is important. Be sure to measure once a week. Pick a day that you can measure first thing after weighing and taking your drops. Do it every seven days. I picked Sundays because they were usually relaxed time wise, not rushing off somewhere.

Went for a bra fitting last night. Yes, my size changed (band went down), and OMG, for the first time in about 20 years I fit into some beautiful, colorful, playful things! I didn't go crazy and buy a lot of things, because on my first round my shape changed much more dramatically in P3 than P2, but I bought something that fits and I'm so much more comfortable today, not to mention that my clothes look better.

At my rehearsal last night, one of my friends asked if he could take a picture of me to email one of our members who's on hiatus, to show her what I've been doing. It made me so happy, that my efforts are finally showing.

Oh, how cool that is Linda! Yes, I'm a singer/musician. What kind of music do you do?

Sadie
02-23-2012, 09:24 PM
We are a variety band in two different forms. First is a 3 piece band I play drums and sing that band covers music from the 1930's to present. Jazz Standards, Pop Standards Classic Rock, Country - old and new. It really depends on the shows. We work a lot of Country Clubs, Yacht Clubs, Resorts, Casino's etc. Then we work as a 5 piece Country Dance / Show Band which also covers Classic Rock. For those shows I move out front to just be the lead singer. We are called Sundance Band. Believe it or not, that band pays the bills for the most part. Yourhcg is a part time gig. The band is full time.

How very cool! How do you find Hcg affects your voice? I know what Dr. Simeons said about it; in my first round, I was amazed at how clear my voice felt throughout the round. Do you find it makes a difference for you?

This round has been a little different. This is always the slow time of the year for me, which is one of the reasons that I chose to do my round now. I've only had a few gigs this month, and they were hard for me. But I think it was mostly an energy issue, which you've helped me past. I have a couple of gigs coming up in the next week or so, it'll be interesting to see how they go.

I am a singer and wind instrument player, as well as a songwriter and a voice teacher. I also have two main groups right now; I have a jazz duo with a guitarist, playing at restaurants, wineries, cabarets, etc., and I also play and sing with a Renaissance recorder group, for weddings, faires, and that sort of events.

It's really important it is to me to feel attractive when I perform. Hcg has been such a blessing to me. I tried on a gig outfit today which hadn't been fitting so well lately, and I think I'm going to wear it next week!

So last 2 days I didn't have any losses. Today I lost 1.6! Very happy. I had cut down to 1 fruit a day..either apple or orange. Yesterday I switch to just a 1/2 a grapefruit. I'll continue this to see if that made the difference! 10lbs to go and I have until 3/9.

So gigging & protocol HAD to work - there was no option. My voice did not change at all. However, I might have seen a reduction of mucus due to the limited dairy in my diet. I will agree that in our line of work begin thin is pressure we females feel when on stage. The rest of my band are males can eat anything they want - and usually do!

I'm a singer... but not professionally. I'm too much of a wimp/ wall flower. :)
My positive note today is about the NEXT jeans that fit. The last time I was this weight, these jeans wouldn't get over my thighs. Proof to me that the fat I want to go, is going. OH! I'm excited to be in a smaller bra.

I have a friend I haven't seen in years coming into own tomorrow. I get to take her out an watch her eat. :o) I told her I would just bring food with me... but a lot of other people's foods actually smells disgusting to me right now, especially the pizza, or breakfast tacos, or Reese's peanut butter cup. 3 of my usual favorites. I'm thinking that's not a bad thing. It keeps me from being jealous.

Be careful not to touch ANYTHING that even looks greasy or oily. You will gain weight just by touching it and ruin your good behavior with a gain on the scale even though you deserve a loss.

Down another jeans size. I really hope I didn't get rid of all the next size down that I think I finally gave up and gave away. Serious richness in my voice, which I'm not sure I'm being hyper-aware of right now, or is a change since starting the protocol.

I think my favorite thing is when I am lying on my back and I can feel ribs and my stomach is concave. In that position, I have hip bones again. Yay!!!! My neighbors have mentioned the difference. You know when the gay guys tell you you look good, it's TRUE! :o)

Trying this again, with the right person. It's fun to 'see' someone who is around my weight. I hit a little plateau while my friend was here (I'm sure sitting at a table where people ate pizza didn't help), but am back to losing. How are you doing?

Thia, welcome back on protocol. I am so glad you have someone who is doing this with you. It is really important to have support around you when you are going through this protocol. I look forward to you and your friends updates.

Thia, I'm 5-7 and down to 154.6 and on r1p2d39. Is that about where you are? How are you doing in inches? My calves, arms, and thighs are losing slower. Of course my thighs is where I wish it would drop fastest! But I'll take anything! It's amazing in one week I got into a smaller pair of jeans and at the end of that week they were bagging off me!

I also have a friend doing this too. In addition to this forum, it's been a great support. We use each other like sponsors. I call or text her when I'm craving or feeling discourage on those days where there's no losses. She's on round 2, so it's been great being able to bounce things off her and get suggestions. We check in each morning with weigh-ins - good motivator and we keep each other focused and positive!

I find going out with friends is difficult when they eat..but during P3 it should get easier.

Have a good day!
Jill

My Father-in-law made a comment about how great I was looking (if you knew him, you would know this wasn't as creepy as it sounds), and asked me if I had lost weight. I'm only 7 lbs under where I was last summer, but I had lost the weight cleansing, and it was different. I ate all that weight back on... but not this time. It was nice to have someone notice. :o) MIL gave me a little look when I had to explain a bit why I was making this tiny dinner. Oh well, her loss.

I have been away from The Community for awhile...Hi Linda...great to see you again and catch up on all your wonderfiul advice and encouragement...and I love this thread of Daily Inspirations. What a wonderful idea!! I am slowly moving through P4 of my fourth and last round...actually Life Phase, and I absolutely love my new size and the success of HCG. I am daily in awe of the weight I have lost and how I am able to now eat more of the things I love, in moderation, of course, and not get too far away from LDW. I have learned so much about myself and how to maintain the loss I have worked so hard for. Good to luck to all of you on your journey and I know, with the support and encouragement of this group, your will have nothing but success.

Last night I went to a Dress Barn store. I don't want to spend money on clothes yet because my shape is still changing, but I just went in to try on a few things. All the size 8's fit me (I used to wear 16, got to 12/10 in my first round, now 8). Yeah, ok, I bought a pair of jeans, they were on sale for $15, and they're a different style than I've ever worn before - skinnier and they sit lower at the waist.

Also, I looked at the chart on their pantyhose, and at my new weight I should wear a size A! I haven't worn size A hose since I was what, 11? I cried a little, right there in the store.

My husband says he feels like he's cheating on his wife with his new skinny girlfriend. :D

Day 3 of P4 of this round and I'm cruising .4 under LDW. I feel good and I'm getting a lot of compliments. This weekend I had a couple of friends over and I gave them a bunch of clothes that are just HANGING on me now.

That is the amazing aspect to this diet. Your body has gone through a rehab of sorts and is no longer addicted to food. A beautiful thing.

It's amazing. I feel so much more aware of my body and more mindful of what I put into it.

Lisa, I just started this program this week, and have lost 6 pounds already...its so great to hear from people like you with success! Makes me want to keep going. My daughter and son were real "nay-sayers', but I am glad to prove them wrong.I really have not been hungry, but I know that I have many challenges still to face, as I started to load on Saturday and I have only been on the lo cal diet since Monday.But.....posts like yours are so encouraging--thank you!

MartiP, I'm so glad it's helping you! I love to read about everyone's success, it's like a snowball effect for me.

Just wait until your kids see how great you're going to look, and most importantly, how much healthier you'll be!

Your doing Great ! My sister inlaw is always telling me you cant live on 500 calories a day! But you can I am living proof!!!

The whole point that the people don't get (until they read P&I) is that you're NOT living on 500 calories a day. You're living on 500 new calories plus the formerly-inaccessible calories you've been carrying around on your butt. Because they're right; you CAN'T live on 500 calories a day. That's exactly why Hcg works.

People have trouble understanding this, because they don't understand the concept of that inaccessible fat, and that Hcg allows you access to it. And they REALLY don't understand the concept if they're not a person who stores fat that way. If they're the guy who can just restrict their caloric intake and drop 15 lbs, more power to them, but they just don't get it without reading the whole protocol.

I have read pounds and inches and often refer back to it. It's so important to read, as it provides a great understanding to protocol and how our bodies store and burn fat. Understanding what my body was going through helped me make good decisions during challenging times in P2. I strongly suggest reading it if you haven't done so.

Hi Everyone! I started loading today. This will be my second round. My first round was in 2010. I lost 34 pounds and kept it off until I changed jobs. The job I am at now, I am around people so I eventually found myself falling into my old habits. I gained some weight back not all of it and got back on here and started reading everybody's comments and got remotivated. The main thing (besides losing weight & feeling great) is I want to get my cravings and eating under control. I remember how I felt the first several months after completing HCG. I did not want the fast food, the sugar etc - it almost seemed un-natural to eat processed foods. When I started this new job started going out to eat every day, etc and of course it led to the gain. I was okay if I did it every once in a while it did not show on the scale, but I pushed and ended up with the gain. HCG Works and looking forward to getting myself in order mentally & physically.

Holey Moley I am in a size 6. I still have fat on me, but that is okay. I was shocked and HAPPY! I still don't fit into my old 8's because they are a different style, but the 6's were it! I am also very happy that I am half way through the first of the three days after finishing the drops. ;o) I keep looking at healthy recipes and want to look into taking a cooking class so I have a clue as what I am doing. I've realized I missed that when i was growing up. My mom was cooking with my SIL next to her and there just wasn't room. A great thing to realize so i can combat it and learn now. Yay!

I am loving this thread! I'm in my first week....R1P2D5 and am down 5.3 pounds. Yesterday I wore a pair of unforgiving pants and realized my "pooch" isn't as prominent. I also realized at this pace I will be under 200 next week. Fingers crossed and hoping for continued success!

I have enjoyed reading all of these inspiring posts. I am on R1P4D7. I have not had a steak day and am 4 pounds below LDW. I am planning to do another round soon so that I can be finished before thanksgiving. I got in the closet last night and was able to wear jeans that I havent worn in at least 4 years maybe longer. I am actually having fun shopping too. I read about measuring and am not sure the proper way to do it. I only measured before I started and have only tried to measure once since then, and felt like I wasnt getting accurate measurements. My little sister did the protocall and lost 50 pounds. I did one round so far and lost 30 pounds. Now my other sister is starting her first round. I have a feeling mom is next. This is the most amazing diet Ive ever tried. Although its hard sometimes, I LOVE IT!!!

Emy, from a personal trainer I was told to measure your waist at its smallest point, usually over your navel, but not always. Then suck in and measure. Now if you measured relaxed or in a different spot, 1st, it's not really comparable. I measure daily, have for years, and I'm glad because after a -29lb round, it's fun to see just how many inches are gone!

I'm sure Linda will have thoughts on how to measure, maybe better ones;)

I also measure calves, thighs, neck, chest and upper arm.

I have never heard of sucking it in to measure but that actually would make sense to me. It would be the most accurate way to measure as the position of the diaphragm etc is not going to be a factor when measuring this way.

Also you must measure first thing in the morning, before any food and drink and after you empty your bladder. On hcg, when I hit a stall (hit two), I'd feel better because I still lost inches, while not losing pounds.

Sadie

That I'd exactly right. You should always measure and weight before any food or liquids.

This is the third morning that the scale has not moved, BUT, sometime over the last 2 days (I measure every couple of days), I have lost an inch from my hips. I'm comfortably wearing a pair of pants that were very uncomfortable before I started this round. Pounds and INCHES, my friends, Pounds and Inches!

Hi Bellaturi, I don't know what's going on either. I don't think the boards are dead, and Sadie has responded to the questions I've asked through the forum, but maybe she's not around on the weekend? There's certainly less traffic on the forum than there was during my last round.
