do I need more protein...its just seem like a lot..Linda, do we cont the 6-8 oz of protein for Lunch/Dinner after day 4? and, do we still eat protein every 3 hrs...this is my meal:

Breakfast: 1whole egg / 1egg whites cooked with Pan spray and 1/2apple

Snack: 3oz chicken (or less)

Lunch: 5oz chicken / 1/2cup broccoli and 1/2apple

Snack: 3oz chicken (or less)

Dinner: 5oz chicken / 1/2cup broccoli and handful strawberries

100 oz water / 10 oz lemon juice

Do I cont the 2-3 oz of protein every 3 hrs after day 4?
Do I cont to have snacks?
Do I cont 5 meals a day?

Hi Slim, Great to see you made it into P3. The recommended protein for the first 3-5 days of P3 is 6-8 ounces bresakfast, lunch and dinner and 3-4 ounces twice a day between meals. Looks to me like you are a little low on the protein. If you are having trouble getting it all in at one sitting, then put it aside snd finish it later. Your veggies and fruit look great, but you need a bit more protein. You can begin regaining the weight if you remain protein deprived once the HCG is out of your system.

I always liked to do 5 days on protein loading, just to be on the safe side, but I am sure 4 is fine. After the first 4-5 days, you no longer need a certain amount of protein and you don't have to eat five times a day, but many people find that higher protein and lower fats and dairy help with maintanence. There are no fast rules for P3 other than avoiding starches and processed foods and a few other things, but the key is finding what works for you and what additions cause you to gain or hopefully maintain.

THANKS! since I'm on D5 what should I do regarding not enough protein? I know now that day 3 & 4 wasnt a good amount of protein intake for me...should I concentrate on protein for snacks and cut out a fruit for lunch ir dinner?

Are you only up 0.8 from LDW? I would not worry about the lack of protein on days 3 and 4 at this point, nor would I cut out your friut. If it were me, I would continue focusing on protein first for at least the remainder of the week. Remember to add new things in one at a time, so you know what to avoid if your weight jumps too much. I would continue with protein for snacks and maybe cut back a little on theprotein at mealtimes. You can try tuna or chicken or egg salad with a small amount of Dukes mayonaise (doesn't have sugar), you can make a large salad with lots of veggies and make your ranch dressing and use a small amount on the salald, small amount of butter on your broccoli or to cook your eggs in the mornings, things like that. By week 2, you can begin to add 1T of nutbutter, say on an apple or celery, a small handful of nuts, small amount of cheese on your salad or in your eggs.

R1P3D8...I went from 186.8 to 188.8 over night...all I did was add more chicken...my LDW is 185.5 so I did a Steak Day...it was cool not eating cause I was busy celebrating my moms BDAY...I had a very nice size STEAK n an apple for dinner and felt soooo STUFF...drank 101 ounces of water...

FYI - I lost weight in 2010 which I was at 188 / 189 for 1 1/2 yrs til I gained 20lbs...I was so happy to get down to 185.8 but, my body seems UNhappy :(

do I do another steak day if I am not 185.8 or under?

Slim, you can do two steak days if needed to get back down, but usually one will do the trick this early in the game. After reading your post, I am wondering if 188-189 is sort of a set point for you and your body is wanting to go there. Linda, what do you think?? With your LDW at 185.8, you only do a steak day when your weight is 187.9 or above, so as long as you are below that his morning, go back to eating lean P3 today and continue on. I would be sure you get plenty of protein today.

You know, Slim, my weight was always like that, too, but usually only within a pound of LDW, sometimes up and sometimes down. I never weigh the same thing two days in a row.

Are you planning to do another round? How long was this round? You are not very far from you goal, actually. I just finished two back to back steak days and still am above LDW. Being in life phase, I went a bit crazy over Mother's Day and then my birthday, so now am trying to get back in range. It is a constant challenge, but I love being thinner than I have been in my entire adult life and I am committed to staying in my smaller clothes.

I LOVE BEING SLIMMER TOO! it was so hard to lose the 20lbs I gained..til I found HCG! hopefully the last 12 won't be painful to lose :)

R1P3D11...I was under my LDW (185.2)...after being up since D4...felt really GOOD...however, things can/will change!

That's the way to do it Slim!! I always seemed to jump around like that, too, and then finally settled down. Never even had to do a steak day until late in the third round, but also never was at LDW or the same weight much...a bit above or a bit below. Keep up the good work :)
