View Full Version : Phase 3 gaining weight

Can anyone help me with the phase 3 rules? My LDW on phase 2 was 157. After the 72 hours VLCD at the end of P2 I was down to 155.5. After 2 days on phase 3 I was back up to 157 and now on day 4 i am at 158. Do i need to do a steak day if my weight goes up to 159?

Also i have been eating cleanly, protein - chicken, shrimp, eggs with egg whites, steak, veggies and 2 fruits per day. The only thing i added in was 1% milk in tea, a cheese stick per day, some almonds and cooking in a little butter and using mayonnaise on salads. I am getting frustrated since surely i am not over eating. I am also trying to get in enough water but probably am lacking in pure water but make up the volume in tea. What would be a good snack for P3?

I am not getting much exercise, just walking but not every day.

you may actually not be eating enough protein - make sure you are getting about 6-8 oz at each meal, with snacks of 2-3 oz in between. And it's a bit soon for the almonds perhaps - the first week should be mostly p2 foods, just more of them (and mixed veggies, and egg whites). And yes, you should do a steak day if you go OVER 159.0, but a few days with more protein may avoid that.

English, please don't use 1% milk. It has sugar added. Easy on the mayo. Good snacks are hard boiled eggs, string cheese, apple.

Good POST! I think I need more protein...its just seem like a lot..Linda, do we cont the 6-8 oz of protein for Lunch/Dinner after day 4? and, do we still eat protein every 3 hrs...this is my meal:

Breakfast: 1whole egg / 2egg whites cooked with Pan spray / 1/2apple

Snack: 3oz chicken

Lunch: 5oz chicken / 1/2cup broccoli / 1/2apple

Snack: 3oz chicken

Dinner: 5oz chicken / 1/2cup broccoli / handful strawberries

100 oz water / 10 oz lemon juice

Oh my LDW is 185.8 and I'm at 186...I feel bloated n gassy...my water doesn't seem to be coming out like in P2...lol
